The other day I read a really interesting article (Thanks Kalyn!) from the New York Times titled: Women’s Flexibility Is a Liability (in Yoga), written by William J. Broad. In the article, Broad states that although yoga is “generally a good thing”, he warns that it can also lead to serious injuries like wearing and tearing on your hips. (Yikes!) And that (macho) men are more prone to getting injured! Who knew?!
While I’m still weary on taking much of this article to heart, I do agree with its final message. Listen to your body and if something hurts, then you might want to take it easy.
